Useful links: (in no particular order)

The Explosives and Weapons Forum - the best place for the discussion of improvised weapons and explosives. Deals with the practical side of having fun.

Science Madness - deals with the chemistry behind having fun.

The Hive - the bees make honey, not explosives or pyrotechnics, but it's a good place to learn.

Rhodium's Page - more great chemistry info, geared towards making "honey." I think Rhodium set up The Hive, but someone may have to correct me on that...

Lagen's website - Lots of information on explosives and general chemistry, including a GREAT selection of links. (5th June 2003: this site no-longer appears to be up.)

Richard Nakka's Experimental Rocketry site - GREAT website dealing with KNO3/carbohydrate fuels, rocket design, and useful calcuations.

Project-X vs. Detonator - a very good Czech site, rare info on making things such as TEX, CL-18, HNIW, etc.

Chemical and Other Safety information - know the risks BEFORE you make something!

Wantsomfet's Kangaroooo Corner - some very useful information here, lots of patents. Have a look.

KABOOM - In Czech. I can't read it, but it looks good!

Swedish Infomania Homepage - good information, in Swedish.

Powerlabs - not much to do with explosives or chemistry, but lots on coil guns, tesla coils etc. A very well made site.

Totse - "Your are the weakest link, goodbye!" Haha.

Wouter's Practical Pyrotechnics - home of some detailed information on chlorate and perchlorate manufacture.

The Organic Syntheses Database Search Engine - if you want to know how to make something, look it up. It doesn't cover everything, but everything it covers is covered well.

Webelements - just an interesting site, not related to explosives in any way.

E-mail me if you have a link you'd like me to add, or to report broken links.

Nice picture, isn't it? 100g of 60% anhydrous calcium sulphate and 40% 300 mesh spherical aluminium powder, ignited with a sparkler.

Oh yes!

I've tested out an improved MMAN procedure that I need to write up, and am well on the way to guanidine nitrate.
There won't be any work done for a few days due to exams though...

Seen a mistake on my site? E-mail and tell me so I can make it right!

"Flash, Bang, BOOM!"
(This space is dedicated to the memory of my little statistics thingy, which was cruely removed by Homestead, presumably because I won't pay for my free site.)
(Site is optimised for IE 5.0, I think. Sometimes it screws up if using Opera.)
"Flashbangboom (
):
       1. (n.) A website dedicated to the distribution of information on energetic materials;
       2. (n.) A small point of light in the darkness of ignorance."
